Pedal Pups: Chaos's Journey

As a proud member of the Pedal Pups since 2023, 2024 Captain, and 2025 Co-Captain, I—Chaos—have found a home within this vibrant, sex-positive LGBTQ+ cycling family based in San Francisco. Our team, sponsored by Mr-S-Leather and Powerhouse, isn't just about the 545-mile journey from SF to LA; it's about creating lasting change for our community.

Being part of the LGBTQ+ community, the AIDS/LifeCycle cause resonates deeply with me on a personal level. The essential LGBTQ+ health services funded by this ride have directly benefited me numerous times throughout my journey. From accessible testing to comprehensive care, these resources have been a lifeline not just for me, but for countless others in our community.

Each month, our team hosts fundraisers that bring together our diverse community in celebration and solidarity. As we pedal toward our ambitious $100,000 goal, we're doing more than raising money—we're raising awareness, fighting stigma, and honoring those we've lost while supporting those who continue to need these critical services.

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Los Angeles LGBT Center provide life-saving services that create a world where health justice is a reality for everyone. These aren't just abstract organizations to me—they represent real support systems that have had a long-lasting positive impact on my life and the lives of my chosen family.

When I clip into my pedals wearing my Pedal Pups jersey, I'm riding for a future where HIV/AIDS is truly a thing of the past. I'm riding for the friends who received compassionate care when they needed it most. I'm riding because I've personally experienced how these services transform lives.
